At Brighter Future Development Trust, women’s empowerment means restoring confidence, dignity, and choice to women who have been pushed to the margins by illness, poverty, and discrimination. We work closely with women affected by HIV, leprosy, disability, and social exclusion—many of whom have been abandoned, denied livelihoods, or excluded from decision-making within their families and communities.
Our programs focus on strengthening women’s physical, emotional, and economic well-being through counselling, healthcare access, livelihood support, skill development, and self-help group linkages. We also create safe spaces where women can heal, share experiences, and rebuild trust in themselves and others. By supporting women to become financially independent, socially included, and informed about their rights, BFDT enables them to lead their families with resilience and confidence and become active contributors to their communities.
